Meet The Ammons

Mary Ammons

Mary Ammons has called the Triangle home for nearly four decades, ever since she traded Long Island, New York for North Carolina life in 1985. It didn’t take long for the area to become more than just a place to live, it became the backdrop for her family, her career, and the community she loves.

In 1991, Mary met and married Rusty, and together they built their dream home that same year. It’s still where they spend their days, now filled with the joy and energy of their daughter, son-in-law, and three young granddaughters. Family time is her favorite time, and those moments keep her grounded in what truly matters.

Mary’s real estate roots run deep. She began her career in property management, overseeing large residential communities and learning firsthand the importance of service, communication, and trust. Those early years shaped the way she works today—always with care, always with intention. More than 25 years ago, she earned her Broker’s license and stepped fully into residential real estate, where she has since helped countless clients find the place they call home.

In 2018, Mary joined Julie Wright Realty Group—a small, integrity-driven firm led by a Broker with decades of experience. It was the perfect fit. Mary now specializes in residential resale, new construction, and land sales, bringing a blend of professionalism, honesty, and genuine connection to every client she serves.

For Mary, real estate isn’t just about transactions. It’s about milestones, memories, and guiding people through one of the most meaningful decisions of their lives. Rusty Ammons

I am a Raleigh native, I started real estate in New Home sales in 1984. Development of new home neighborhoods has been my passion, and that dream came true in 1998.The areas I developed in over the years included Raleigh, Holly Springs, and Morrisville. I was very proud of the beautiful communities that I was able to see through to the end and to watch the homes fill up with happy new homeowners. That is what I love about Land Development!

I recently joined Julie Wright Land Company and teamed up with my wife of 33 years, Mary Ammons, making this my 40th year in Real Estate! As a team we now provide expertise in land acquisition, development and sales, new homes sales, working closely with our wonderful, vetted builders, and resale homes throughout the triangle & all surrounding areas. I am more the land guy and development guy; my wife loves handling all the rest😊.
